[The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts](http://english.ntmofa.gov.tw/English/ShowInfomation_1.aspx?SN=4981&n=10135), Taichung
24 March — 3 June 2018
2050 is a future point in time that has not yet arrived. Many projections of the future of humankind envision the changes and appearances of our lifeworld in the year 2050. These yet unarrived times and objects are not far from our present and combine the history we have once experienced with humankinds goals and aspirations for an ideal future life, drawing a possible blueprint for the future. The exhibition “2050, A Brief History of the Future” aims to discuss the future world by looking at the development of human material civilization. The exhibition invites a total of more than fifty participating artists from Taiwan and abroad to adopt an angle of thinking about and probing the future from the point of view of contemporary works of art in exploring many of the social issues in todays world. The works are rich and diverse, and filled with many thought-provoking and inspirational new creations.

This is the first international exchange exhibition to be co-organized by the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts and the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium.
The exhibition is curated by Pierre-Yves Desaive.

This exhibition brings together new and recent projects by participants in the BRIDGE Artist-in-Residence Program at Michigan State University— a three-year-long initiative connecting international, cutting-edge artists with faculty and students across the universitys many colleges. With their shared interests in materiality and topical issues—the dual “matters” invoked in the exhibition title—the artists and their collaborators address a wide range of phenomena through interdisciplinary approaches to research, experimentation, and knowledge production. The exhibition thus reveals an “epistemological turn” in the arts and sciences, focusing on how knowledge is produced and how the process of production inflects meaning and interpretation. This major presentation highlights the incredible resources the university has to offer, and how artists and scientists work together to imagine the future, today.
Featured artists include Art Orienté Objet (Marion Laval-Jeantet & Benoît Mangin), Evelina Domnitch & Dmitry Gelfand, Tagny Duff, HeHe (Helen Evans & Heiko Hansen), Zbigniew Oksiuta, Kuai Shen, Stelarc, and Sissel Tolaas.

For Cape Farewells annual Lovelock Art Commission hosted by the Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester (MSI), HeHe have taken inspiration from James Lovelock's Gaia Theory and latest climate science funded by the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC). Three new pieces placed in-situ across the museum - Airbag, Burnout and Diamonds In The Sky - depict micro-climates, pollution and artificially engineered clouds in provocative new contexts, blurring the boundaries between the natural and the man-made.
Man-made clouds are blowing through the Museum of Science and Industrys industrial heritage site. The Cloud Crash exhibition features three new art installations illustrating micro-climates, a manufactured airspace and digitally reproduced clouds. These are set in motion in an imaginative assimilation of atmospheric research.

Standing upright in the city, a small tower crane has undergone a change. The structure of the jib has mutated, into a variant form with an uncertain function. Contorted, it is a departure from the ordered geometry of an ordinary crane. It is as if some invisible force has begun a process of disintegration. The crane's jib, that should be carrying heavy weights, has in part been carried off by the wind.
Gone with the Wind alludes to a vanitas for our consumer-driven culture. It suggests the transient nature of man made objects and in particular modern technology. It is a visual reminder that what we make and build is temporary. Despite the vast building developments underway in the centre of the city, it hints that modernism, utopia and civilisation are actually rather fragile. As if the 'advances' that we make are actually just on the surface and that the whole edifice of progress and order could so easily collapse.

A group show exploring the radical shift in the boundary between fiction and reality in a world increasingly governed by post-truth politics.
As well as acting as a timely reflection on the nature of truth in a time filled with fake news, misinformation, and tactical propaganda, the show also serves a historical purpose. Many of the high-speed media interventions showcased in the show are, to a degree, legacies of Tactical Media; a cultural and political movement that flourished in the late 90s. Tactical Media was the first to combine the power of art, the practices of PR and advertising worlds, and an experimental approach to digital media, to mount hit-and-run interventions in the media sphere aiming to create chaos as a means of generating political opportunity.

A scientific environmentalist denunciation is replaced by an evocative and poetic narration.

[Editions Hyx, Orleans](http://editions-hyx.com) & [Pollinaria](http://www.pollinaria.org)
September 2016
The long awaited Man Made Clouds book is now available.
An editorial project by the HeHe, Man Made Clouds Clouds is both a series of artistic interventions and a cultural analysis of atmospheric emissions.
Contributing authors are HeHe, Jens Hauser, Noortje Marres, Gunnar Schmidt, Malcom Miles and Jean-Marc Chomaz.
Natural clouds occupy a special place in our imaginations, their countless forms and meanings offer infinite possibilities for metaphor. HeHe's projects use clouds as a visual metaphor to aestheticise toxin coated atmospheric emissions. Smog, radioactive clouds, clouds produced by exhaust fumes, cigarettes or industrial emissions are visualised, highlighted, outlined, coloured or put under the spotlight, to alert us— not without humour—on our arrival in the Anthropocene age.
Of the fifteen projects shown and discussed in the book, the most ambitious and emblematic is Nuage vert (Green Cloud) which earned the prestigious Golden Nica at the festival Ars Electronica in 2008. The book includes original documentation on the reception of Nuage Vert which sparked a political controversy when it was staged on a waste incinerator cloud in Saint Ouen (2009) and Ivry-sur-Seine (2010).
Man Made Clouds is also a work of craft. Each book contains an ex-libris of smokeable paper, hand-made from 100% organic tobacco, specially cultivated in the soil of [Pollinaria](http://www.pollinaria.org), Abruzzo, Italy.

December 7th 2018 - April 28th 2019
Curated by Hou Hanru and curatorial team of MAXXI
More than 140 artists and over 200 works to compose the multicultural, polyglot, colorful, scary, stimulating, deafening story of the streets of the whole world, the real great laboratory for discussion, creation, comparison, where the contemporary era is invented. Works of art, architectural projects, photographs, performances, site-specific interventions and videos welcome visitors to a sequence of galleries that form a street dozens of metres long.
The exhibition is organised based on themes public actions, daily life, politics, the community, innovation, the role of the institution fundamental for understanding the new functions and identity of the modern-day street.

[PROJET COAL](http://www.projetcoal.org/coal/en/category/stuwa-art-et-nature-dans-le-sundgau/)
CENTIPEDE VLO2 (Vehicule Léger Ontologique) installed in Werentzhouse, Sundgau, Alsace

4.06.2017-4/09/2017
STUWA is the artistic tour of the villages of Sundgau, created in 2015 at the instigation of the tourist office of the Pays du Sundgau, in south Alsace. COAL has been the artistic director of this program since its inception.
The Stuwa was the living space of the traditional Sundgauvian house. It is in this place of gathering and exchange that language, tales, history and cuisine, in short the culture of the territory, was forged and shared. The Le parcours Art et Nature de Sundgau, as it is called, proposes to facilitate the exchanges between the inhabitants and the visitors. The works of art of the course, thus become collective Stuwa, which reflect the cultural and geographical richness of the territory. Every year COAL invites seven artists to invest seven Sundgau villages. The projects are selected on a call for projects with the referents of the participating villages. Each piece is made with local skills and know-how.

[ROYAL ACADEMY OF ARTS](https://www.royalacademy.org.uk/exhibition/architecture-environment-eco-visionaries)
24 november 2019 23 february 2020
Eco-Visionaries is a survey of current practices of art and architecture that, beyond mainstream notions of sustainability, respond with original approaches to the environmental transformations that are disturbing our planet. Through photography, film, sculpture, installation, architectural models and digital media, the works in this exhibition interrogate how cutting edge art and architecture can help us respond to a rapidly changing world.
The exhibition brings together international practitioners, including Superflex, Unknown Fields, Andrés Jaque / Office for Political Innovation, HeHe and Malka Architecture, among others. Together they provide critical reflections on mankinds impact on the earth, and identify possibilities for innovation and action.

HeHe is Europes smallest art-oriented research organization. Our research efforts are geared entirely to peoples undesired needs: health, security, communication, energy and the environment. ##Our People##
